<p style="text-align:justify">The AAS method is an abbreviation of Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric method. The atoms in their normal state do not absorb or radiate energy but when they are in the free state in the form of clouds of atomic vapor they absorb and radiate energy. Each atom absorbs only certain radiations that correspond to the radiations that they can give off during their emissions.. When atoms receive energy they move to a higher energy level called an excited state. That process is called the process of absorbing the energy of a free atom in the vapor state and creating the spectrum of that atom. The spectrum produced in this process is called the atomic absorption spectrum.</p>
